2010 Commerce Centre
The 2010 Commerce Centre was established in 2004, as an initiative of the BC Secretariat, to inform, educate and connect businesses to the estimated $4 billion of Games-related opportunities. The services offered by the 2010 Commerce Centre to help businesses maximize their involvement in Games-related opportunities include:
- Business Opportunities Listing: An online database listing relevant business opportunities associated with the 2010 Winter Games, its sponsors and all activities leading up to and beyond the 2010 Games (including the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Summer Olympics)
- Bid Results Database: An online database identifying winning bidders
- Email Notification: A service that provides business owners with email notification of Games-related business opportunities
- 2010 Business Network: A searchable, online directory to ensure 2010 buyers are able to establish relationships with BC businesses to quickly and easily find the goods and services they need
- Meet-the-Buyer Program: Select events that provide opportunity for BC businesses to develop personal relationships with 2010 related buyers and other businesses looking for strategic partnerships
- 2010 Business Opportunities Workshop: A workshop developed to teach BC business owners how to maximize their involvement in the estimated $4 billion of Games-related opportunities
- Think Asia-China 2008: A workshop providing participants with insight and information on how to identify and access business opportunities within the Chinese marketplace, and how to develop successful trade relations with China
- Use of Facilities: The 2010 Commerce Centre offers 2010 Winter Games Sponsors, business associations and communities use of their downtown facilities to host meetings, events and presentations at no cost
