2010 International Media Centre

The BC International Media Centre (BCMC) for unaccredited media will run January 28 – February 28, 2010 at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver. The BCMC will promote British Columbia and its businesses, communities, and tourism opportunities, through media resources and support services which will be supplied to the hundreds of unaccredited broadcast, print, web and radio media involved in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The centre will provide a comfortable, convenient, secure and fully wired workspace, networking space and broadcasting facilities to media representatives from around the world who travel to write stories about the Olympic Games, Vancouver and British Columbia.

The media centre will showcase British Columbia’s regions and communities as attractive locations for tourism, investment and economic immigrants and strengthen international awareness of B.C. as Canada’s Pacific Gateway. Programming will occur at the centre and throughout Robson Square to showcase B.C.’s athletes, artisans, performs and unique business and communities through special events, displays and celebrations.
